Could have done with my filter on this pic!! On their first day back :D
Hanging out ready to get to school (Auntie Jen was over and took this one!)Yeah, I know I am so late in posting this since School started up a month ago, but I am late like always.
Just a few photos of the kids. Its been interesting as always starting a new child out in School. I have been quite resistant to it, since Josh has been my little buddy now for quite some time, I wasnt too excited to let him go. He has had some ups and downs already but is finally looking to be settling down. He still thinks the day is too long, and tries to work it so he can hang out with me at home instead. He's making some cool little friends, and is starting to read some words so he is enjoying that. He gets so proud of himself when he recognises something, so great for his confidence!
Katherine is in Juniors and loving her new teacher. Her regular one is on maternity leave now for the rest of the year, so she has a fantastic supply teacher. She is great. She likes being so grown up, and has the usual aches and pains of girl drama's, but this is nothing unusual and a continuation of last year, she's a brave girl and will withstand it.
Lauryn just seems to be changing so fast. She is getting so grown up. She's in Year 5 now, and loving it even more than she did last year. (And she had an amazing year then). Her teacher is also great (I am feeling very blessed) and everything is changing for them. They have started to prepare them for the Year 6, SATs and getting ready for High School environment. She is slowly learning that she must get to her big list of homework earlier (and not be leaving it all to Tuesday night!) She's doing so well. She started Flute lessons already, and loves it. She is doing the cycling proficency class which will teach her how to ride on the road safely. She also had an invitation to join the Southport Swimming Club, so she will be starting 10 free sessions starting November. She is really looking forward to that. I don't know much about that yet, so will have to wait to check that out once she has her first session. Her swimming lessons at Formby are going great. She was moved up to the competition training class which is a 45 min session later on a Friday evening. The timing is not so great, but we are managing it around our schedules.
Travis started his final year at University last month!!! I cannot say how excited I am that we are nearing the end, but it will bring new challanges that I am wary of also, come next year there is going to be some big changes for everyone and I know that none of it is going to be easy. He had a successful placement over the summer with the Utility company also.
